Local centre
Most Life Drawing Groups are held in community centres and function rooms that don’t provide the necessary facilities or time to create a decent Life Study.
Lighting: Most centres have light multiple florescent strips bouncing light all over the model which makes it almost impossible to describe the forms of the figure.
Lights: standard florescent lights project a yellow light which will effect any colour mixing i.e reds will look orange.
Equipment: most are basic offering a chair and a board to work from.
Class Structure: A typical life drawing class will run for 2 hours. The first 45 mins before break will be short poses, then an hour long pose
Purpose Built Facilities
A purpose built facility has the equipment lighting and knowledge to provide the attendee with the best conditions to create a substantial Life Drawing.
Lighting: The models are light from a single source of light and screened of from the working lights.
Lights: Standard florescent lights project a yellow light which will effect any colour mixing i.e reds will look orange.
Equipment: we offer both easels and benches to work from. The easels are equipped with work stations to help he students organise their materials and focus on their work.
Class Structure: One pose lasting 2 – 3 hours, giving attendees ample time to achieve a substantial result.
